What content you can unlock for your patients in elona therapy
The social skills training exercises teach patients the basics of socially competent behavior, support individual planning of social interactions and motivate patients to improve their social skills. In numerous exercises, patients are also given concrete support in practicing specific social skills such as making contacts or expressing criticism. With the help of elona therapy, patients can plan everyday situations so that they can improve these skills in real life.
The exercises are based on the CBASP approach and focus on shaping interpersonal interactions. Patients gain insights into the Kiesler Circle and the possible influence of formative attachment figures on social behavior. Furthermore, patients learn about situation analyses and are supported in carrying them out. In this way, one's own behavior can be changed in order to influence one's own effect on others and the outcome of situations. The ability to help shape a social situation, one's own ability to deal with conflict and compromise, and thus the overall experience of success in interpersonal situations are to be increased in this way.
The exercises based on ACT offer additional support for your patients. For example, in addition to the Hexaflex model, well-known metaphors are used (such as the chessboard) and exercises for alternative ways of dealing with thoughts (defusion techniques for mental distancing) are offered. To practice acceptance, elona therapy offers a lesson with psychoeducational elements and imagination exercises. One lesson also offers the possibilities of dealing with values and value-oriented behavior.
The exercises offer classic content from cognitive behavioral therapy. In addition to psychoeducational exercises on the symptoms and development of depression and anxiety disorders, patients are supported, for example, in working out their own vicious circle, conducting behavioral analyses and discovering the connection between thoughts, feelings and behavior. Symptom diaries, the possibility of planning and reminder by elona therapy of accompanied and unaccompanied behavioral experiments are also helpful here.
The relaxation course offers numerous possibilities to support your patients in the training of relaxation exercises (e.g. with the help of PMR). There are both imagination exercises in audio format, such as Your Inner Place of Safety , and auditory instructions to train mindful awareness outside and inside (e.g., using the body scan), as well as re-orientation exercises (such as 54321 exercise) and meditation exercises.
